It is said that
Modest Mouse
have lived a variety of lives, from lo-fi heroes to indie oddballs, and from chart-toppers to rock statesmen. You may say it's somewhat of a reflection of Isaac Brock's restless and unhinged spirit, who's remained the group's only consistent member since forming it as a trio in 1992. Modest Mouse were influential from the very beginning, releasing several EPs that combined indie with pop and rock. In 2000 they launched
The Moon & Antarctica,
four years later it was
Good News for People Who Love Bad News,
and
We Were Dead Before the Ship Ever Sank
in 2007.
