Pinback
is an indie-rock group whose music combines intricate playing with catchy melodies; this San Diego act has been a favorite since its creation in 1998. Bassist Armistead Smith and frontman Rob Crow started Pinback as a studio project, bringing drummer Tom Zinser to perform on the tracks that would be part of their 1999 self-titled debut album. In following years, Smith and Crow remained as the group's core, while rotating musicians came in to support the duo's vision on tours and releases.
