Sam Nejabat, a businessman and public servant, was first appointed to the 22nd District Agricultural Association Board of Directors in 2019.

Nejabat, who earned a bachelor’s degree and law degree at University of California, Berkeley, is the Assistant Deputy Director of External Affairs at the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development, where he has served since 2020. From 2013 to 2020, he was president of SJN Properties.

Nejabat, who also has a Master of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from Dartmouth College, has served on several nonprofit boards and most recently on the Parks Advisory Committee for the County of San Diego, and the Small Business Advisory Board for the City of San Diego.

Nejabat resides in San Diego.
